Everyone loves a good theme park. The roller coasters, the parades and the thrills are just a few reasons why theme parks are so much fun. I have gladly had the chance to work at two theme parks and love it. It might not always be fun working with crazy tourists, but in the end I wouldn’t change it for the world. The people skills you acquire working with all different kinds of people will help you all through your life. You will become more comfortable with customer service and making others happy. Here are five reasons to work at a theme park.

1. Ultimate bragging rights.

Telling people I work at a theme park and making them jealous is the best because it is a job that so many people wish they had. I could really talk hours about the cool experiences I have had and the famous people I have met. The experiences you get at a theme park are just so unique and something that not many people experience. Everyone will want your job after everything you say about it.

2. Free tickets.

Who does not love free things? It is free for you to go to the theme parks and for your friends and family to go. Your friends will be begging you to get them a ticket, and you will just feel so special when you can make their dreams come true. The theme parks I worked at, I did not just get into the park for free, but others as well. It is just so awesome that you or your family/friends do not have to pay to have fun.

3. Discounts.

Once you bring your friends or family to the theme park, they will want to buy and eat everything. And now they can get everything so much cheaper with your discount on all merchandise and food. The best is during winter time because you get a bigger discount which means presents for everyone. You can also treat yourself with everything theme park.

4. You make good friends.

I did not expect that I would make lasting friendships at a small summer job, but the people you work with really do end up feeling like your family. To be honest, the whole theme park is a family if you know the people or not. Even after working, I still keep in touch with many of my friends that I have met. The best is when you become friends with attraction people, you never have to wait in a line again. Having a second family to go to whenever you need makes the job feel like a home.

5. Home away from home.

When I am not working, I am at the theme park. I can never get sick of the rides, the people and just the place in general. Everyone is so nice and friendly. When you work at a theme park you don’t even know need a real home because you just want to spend all your time and energy there. I can honestly say I am proud to work at a theme park, and I will always be proud of my job.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
