I'm not going to say that I'm free of bias in this argument, because I am. I'm a fall girl. Autumn is the greatest. And summer? Summer is fantastic! Spring has a lot going for it. But winter? God, winter is just a load of garbage. I can't think of a single good thing about winter. It's cold and miserable and it's about time that it left. But in Colorado, that just doesn't seem to be the case.
1. Having weather that lines up with the seasons is kinda cool.
It's halfway through spring and it's still snowing. How are you supposed to remember what season it is if it acts like winter for five months of the year?
2. Friends don't understand your abnormal weather.
Have friends in other places laughing at you for having to deal with snow in May? Yeah, I understand why they think it's awful.
3. I don't know what to do with these snow tires.
I put my snow tires on at the beginning of winter, expecting snow, and had to drive around with tires that click-click-clicked for months. As soon as I thought to take them off, the snow came. How am I supposed to know when to take them off?
4. Picking out your clothes is a complicated process.
You can check the weather on your phone. You can look out the window and try and guess how warm it will be. No matter how hard you try; however, it will inevitably end up colder than you expected.
5. Winter at night is the absolute worst.
I have night classes, man. I have to walk around campus in the middle of the night. I have to commute at night. When you mix winter and nighttime, you get the most miserable mixture ever.
So, can we all agree that winter just needs to END already?
