There are many reasons why we need a cell phone in life, but I think we can all agree on the fact that ever since the iPhone came out, we just can’t live without it. I’m sure many of you, including myself, can seriously consider your phone to be your best friend, considering it is always there for you at times when you need it and if you need someone to talk to, you always have Siri.
1. Your cell phone will always be there for you, even when you get lost.
If your car doesn’t have the navigation system in it, don’t worry! Just ask your friend Siri for your location and she will help you find your way by pulling up her map to help guide you. Who needs an actual paper map when you have your cell phone to do the searching for you?
2. Another perk of having a cell phone is that it is there for you to keep you updated on social media.
Whether it’s celebrity gossip, or a funny post on Facebook, your phone can send you the notification so you can check it out the second it’s posted. For instance, I get notifications from E news and I just recently checked the notification to see that Kanye West and Taylor Swift have a rivalry going on between them.
3. Having a cell phone means having an app for everything.
I take the train to school every day and on my way home, I have to give my mom a head's up on when to pick me up from the station, so I check this app called Embark, and it will give me an approximation of when the train will be coming and what time I will get to my stop.
4. Your cell phone will never bore you.
If you have any television shows to catch up on or movies you want to watch, your phone can be your personal TV. It’s great knowing that a little device can hold all these amazing features and at the same time, can make us the happiest person in the world.
5. Last but not least, you have SIRI.
With the push of a button, you can reach voice activated SIRI and if you have any questions, by all means ask away. From asking how many degrees it is outside, to what the best restaurant is near your house, SIRI is always there to help guide you.
Without cell phones, people would probably have to search for other resources when, let's face it, a cell phone is just so much better because all your resources are placed into one device and yet all in the palm of your hand. Your cell phone legit has everything there is to have and it’s amazing how all of it can be brought with you everywhere you go.
