5 Reasons Why Your Best Friend Is The Best

We all have family. We all have friends. But there is one person who falls right in the middle. This is the person you can trust with anything and talk all your problems out with. This is the very best person, here is why.

1. You can trust them

If there is anyone in this world you are not afraid to tell a secret to it is your best friend. No matter what it is, from family issues to your thoughts and ideas, there is nothing you cannot share with them. You can trust that they will take that secret to the grave.

2. You have a million inside jokes

At this point in your friendship you have done basically everything together and your conversations mostly consist of references only you understand. It is entirely possible that neither of you even remember why it is funny but nothing anybody else says will make you laugh as hard. Nobody understands you two and that's just how you like it.

3. You have someone who is always down

They are the first person you invite to everything. You have tried everything together. You went vegan/vegetarian together, you made a workout pact, you binge-watched an entire series on a long weekend. They are the first person to come to mind when you want to do something fun.

4. Your family is never surprised when they show up

They feel totally comfortable just walking into your house and your family does even blink an eye anymore. Sometimes they show up at your house and even you did not know they were coming. Your best friend has probably been invited to your mom's birthday, maybe even by your mom. They are completely a part of your family now.

5. You have nothing but love for them

They are family and you are both 100% comfortable being yourselves with each other. There is nothing but love between you, it is impossible to stay mad at each other for more than a second. You miss them when they leave and no matter how long it has been since you hung out everything is totally normal. Nothing will ever change between the two of you, best friends are forever.

There is no place safer than in the company of your best friend. Keep them close, fight for them, laugh with them, do not take them for granted.

I love you best friend!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
