Everybody is given a different life, but that's what is unique. We are all different humans. The reasons wanting to explain why I am who I am isn't to entertain you, but it's to embrace the person beneath us all.

1. Personalities

Everybody is defined in their own way. I am defined within my personality. I am wild, but exciting. I have an open mind, but a warm heart. I know how to love, but be serious too. I am okay with my traits because this is how I grew up becoming. I grew up with struggles and challenges; don’t we all? Overall, your personality is what makes you, you.

2. Having Energy

Without energy you can be sadder, than happy. I am full of energy. I am always making others so excited that they will want to get up off their feet all the time. I think of it this way, why be so down all the time when life is just too short? Living your life, full of happiness, and excitement will keep you moving forward.

3. Making Your Own Decisions

While being you, decisions come into your way. You make decisions on what next step in life you are going to take. Whether getting a new car, or move away from home is a good idea or not. Either way, without a support system, you will be sitting right where you started. That’s when the person you are comes in. You use your skills, talents, and personality to understand if that decision is going to be okay for you or not. I make decisions off my likes and dislikes, others may be different.

4. Your Body Is Beautiful

You were given this body to love, and to embrace. Just because social media tells you otherwise doesn't mean you can't show the true you. We all need to love our bodies, they are all sorts of different shapes, sizes, and colors to show our true beauty. Our bodies help us understand the person we are, and that's amazing.

5. This Life Is Yours For A Reason

Everybody is given a specific life but making it your own is going to shape who you are. You become the person you are by learning and understanding the life you were given. You make your own decisions, you make your own traits, and skills, you are the one who makes your life the way it is.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
