5 Reasons Why You Should Make a Bookstagram Account N-O-W!
Instagram

There's a foodgram where people post about food on their Instagram account, and then there's bookstagram. Yes, as you probably figure out, we mainly post about all thing book related. Do you like to read? Or sometimes just staring at pretty book covers? Or your love for books has become out of control you don't know how to express them? Well, in those cases, you totally should join bookstagram! Here's why:

1. Post your own creative bookish photos

On top of being able to look at pretty book photos on your timeline (without getting interrupted by other types of photos), you're encouraged to post your own bookish photos! If you’re already in love with photography, then great! This is one way to share your awesome shots (of books) with a lot of people! If you don’t know much about photography then hey it’s definitely not a problem! I started bookstagram with no knowledge whatsoever of photography. But as the time goes, I learn bit by bit. Even just by seeing a lot of book photos from different awesome accounts, I learned a lot. Each of bookstagrammer has their own unique photos and style. I saw a lot of variety of layouts, ways to use props, managing a theme for the sake of aesthetic, etc. Each gave me a basic on how to work a bookstagram worthy photo and make my own style! Don’t worry though, you’ll definitely improve your skill, both of photography and editing – if you’re willing to learn.

2. Meet new bookworms from all over the world!

Let me tell you, people on bookstagram are the coolest! They are also super nice. Plus, well they have the exact same hobby like you – reading! And you can interact with bookworms from all over the world, isn’t that awesome? Plus if you decided to meet each other, you’d hit it off immediately. I have met like three bookstagrammer so far and after 5 minutes of talking to them, it felt like I already know them forever!

3. Talk about books related – all the time!

If you have an obsession over books, then yes bookstagram is a safe place for you! No one will think of you as a nerd (we’re probably proud to be called one). Don’t get me wrong, I love my friends. But sometimes they are tired of me hearing me talk about books and it’s okay because it’s not their passion and I don’t want to bother them too much. So yeah, bookstagram has been my go-to place to fill up my need for just rambling about books.

4. Buddy reading with your friend!

Reading is a one man’s job. But having a friend to read the same book as you and discuss it later is actually so fun! You can rant together, laugh together, even cry together – even if you’re miles apart! You might wonder how this works. Well, you don’t have to read word by word together – you just have to have a discussion after every 50 pages or so (depends on your buddy reading rules of course). Trust me, you have to try this!

5. Book recommendation at its finest

Can’t decide what book to read next? Need some book recommendation? Want to buy a book but have no idea which one? You’ve come to the right place, my friend. If you’re having troubles like those three or even more just ask away your bookstagram friends! We L-O-V-E to give each other some recommendation (mainly so we can fangirl and be frustrated together!). I always find them helpful, sometimes more than google itself!

So what are you waiting for? Go to Instagram now and create a bookstagram account!

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
