How can we not?

5 Reasons Why We Are Falling In Love With "This Is Us"
This Is Us

1. The actors are phenomenal.

Mandy Moore's (Rebecca's) sweet motherly talk to her triplets, Sterling K. Brown's (Randall's) speech to his mother at the dinner table after finding out that she has kept secrets from him, Chris Sullivan's (Toby's) constant declarations of love towards Chrissy Metz (Kate) despite her insecurities... How can it get much better? I swear they make me believe that their character is the real them in real life every time.

2. The show makes us happy and sad cry all within an hour episode.

Everyone knows what I mean. My mom and I try to hide our teary eyes as we watch, but it's impossible. The story line seems to take the worst of turns, but then everyone realizes that life is short and there is no need in holding back while living it. Some of the situations are eye opening and have even made me apologize or say things to the people I love that I've been needing to say.

3. The married couples and their love stories set in everyday life melt our hearts.

This is really what got me interested. Everyone wants what these characters have one day. Despite the fights and the situations that seem hopeless, they are a constant support for one another. Jack and Rebecca never get old. They always find ways to make the best out of things. Randall and Beth have such an intense and sincere relationship; they are best friends and spouses all at once and it's undeniable.

4. It's basically a spicy version of a good Hallmark story.

We already love Hallmark because of the good feelings they supply through their happy endings. They are basically fairytales for adults. And this show gives that same feeling. But its more than that. Let's face it, we can usually predict what's coming next in a Hallmark movie because they usually all line up the same, because love always wins. But with "This Is Us," you honestly don't know what's going to happen in the next episode or even the next ten minutes for that matter. And the show does not give off that unrealistic vibe, it shows that people have flaws, but people can love them despite their imperfections.

5. Family, rather than the next hot guy, is set at high importance.

A lot of series today base their story lines upon single people who are in the constant search for the perfect mate, and they encounter plenty of good looking guys that lead them astray. But is that really what should interest us? We should stop focusing on the drive of the search for love and focus on the great people that are already in our lives and love them with all that we have. "This is Us" encompasses that and that's why I sit down on my couch to watch it very week.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
