Living in Virginia is awesome. There are mountains to climb, cities to be explore, waterfalls to visit, adventures to be had, and memories to be made.
However, Virginia can be the absolute worst in the wintertime and here's why:
1. Here in good 'ol VA, we get to experience all four seasons—in a single day. Better have an umbrella, sweater, raincoat, shorts, coat, boots, and sunglasses on hand at all times...
2. The snow doesn't stick around. When we do get that good snow day, it usually lasts for just that—a day. Of course, that does't stop the schools from closing at the sight of a snowflake though.
3. When the snow melts so quickly and the temps drop below freezing, we have copious amounts of ice to deal with.
4. Everyone posts that it snowed when there's like not even a quarter inch on the ground. 5. You think you're prepared to face an Ice Age because you bought that milk and bread. We don't quite fit in with the Southern states, and we certainly don't fit in with the North. We're this awkward hybrid of both that's just trying to make it through the worst season known to man. We can do it, my fellow Virginians, it will be spring before we know it. Aaaand, winter again, then spring, then winter, then spring at last.
