Star Wars Force Awakens is a complete disappointment

Lets Embrace our inner Jedi and admire the work that LucasArts have given us over the years, and the creation of fanatics. When Disney bought the rights, a lot of fans feared the worse for Star Wars which they were right to. Disney is a Renown Company who has made a lot of very fantastic movies, but Star Wars is in a league of its own, and The Force Awakens could had been a lot better. These are the top 5 problems I had with the movie.

1. Opening Credits

The opening credits in every star wars film always gave a lot of information telling the viewers what is happening currently and what happened from the time skip from one movie to the other. In Force Awakens, the Credits explains nothing from Return of the Jedi to now. Only that Leia is looking for Luke... can we get information from the huge time skip from Return of the Jedi to now or no....?

2. Characters

For years since Revenge of the Sith ended the trilogy, we have been craving for another Star Wars movie. We've read all the books after Return of the Jedi knowing the story for Episode 7 just seeing it live in action makes it all better. How can Disney throw away everything we know. In Force Awakens why isn't Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin introduce to the big screen?

Another thing about the characters which is the biggest flaw that Disney made is Kylo Ren. He is supposed to be a Dark Jedi (any jedi who uses the dark side of the force). Also, if he's an apprentice to a sith lord, why is Ren's eyes brown?

Natural eyes are not the way of the dark side, even if he was conflicted between the dark and light. We have seen Anakin battle between the two, but once he helped kill a fellow jedi, he had those yellow orange eyes. Could we have seen the transformation when he killed his own father, now that would be something to be excited for, but he killed his own father like it was nothing while still trying to battle between the light and dark. No! major plot hole

3. Luke

By this point and time, Luke is supposed to be a Grand Master Jedi just like Yoda, not as old though but powerful.. Are you telling me that he could not stop his nephew from destroying the new Jedi order he was building? I get that it was his nephew and all, but stop one little boy or let your new Jedi order get destroyed and he let his order be destroyed instead. Disney spends all this money and only thing we get from Luke is an erie look. Really?!

4. Rey

As known, she is going to be the next "Anakin" with the force maybe even more powerful...(GREAT!) all for it... But the mistake that was shown was how fast she was able to use and hone the force without training. For a person who has no clue about the force and what it is; How is she able to use Jedi mind tricks so early. Not even Luke could do jedi mind tricks when he was in training with Ben, when learning the ways of the force. Not even Anakin again could control all of his powers at first, he had a great master, you telling me she just did it like that with ease....

5. Story

This is the biggest problem out of them all. The story is that there is no story. This movie doesn't make the viewer ecstatic for the next movie. What is almost been clear to me that this movie is almost a duplicate of New Hope. Except for in New Hope there had been intensive background information and it would actually go somewhere with the story. Force Awakens as of right now what is the main point that the director is trying to achieve with three films? I guess finding a map looking for Luke is all the story your going to get from this movie. Star Wars is known for its mature, deep, dark nature and the vibe that this movie gave is too commercial and trying to be too funny. Character Finn is always cracking jokes, and it's over board. I felt like I watched a movie with a bunch of goofy characters....

Star Wars The Force Awakens was a disappointment and let down to a lot of fans I am not saying that there are not people out there who did like it. I'm glad that some fans did like the movie, but the way it's been set up already we have another prequel in the works again. Just with different titles, comedy, and really fast character progression. Can't believe that a side story movie is about to be better than the Main Story!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
