I was born into a big family and I will be forever thankful for each and every one of them. They may be a little bit crazy and can get on my nerves, I wouldn't trade them for the world. There is nothing like being a part of a big family and here is why.

1. Things never get boring.

Family gatherings aren't small. There are easily 25 people that fill the room and multiple tables are needed to accommodate all of us. With big families comes a lot of laughs, joy, and people to talk to. You will never ever feel lonely.

2. There are a million people to be proud of you.

With a big family, they are your biggest cheerleaders and get just as excited as you are. Whenever something good happens, you enact the phone tree. Calling your parents and your grandma, you should expect that your whole family will know within a few hours.

3. They are your rock.

On the other hand, when you're having your worst days they will always be there for you. When things don't go your way or somebody messes with you, you can expect an army standing behind you.

4. There is a person to help you with every problem.

With a big family comes an insane amount of knowledge. Whether you need advice on fashion, love, life, money, your education, or a new car purchase, you will always have an expert to talk to.

5. There is a lot of love to go around.

With a big family comes big hearts. There is so much love that goes around that it can never be too much. There is always a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, and a person to laugh with.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
