5 Reasons Why I love My Mom
The Huffington Post

We all have someone we love and care about. Maybe it's a mother, father, grandparent, brother, sister, or best friend. My someone is my mother. She's an amazing woman, who I am extremely grateful for. She is always there for me and she's the one who picks me up when I'm down. She constantly reminds me that she will always support me know matter what path I take in life. I hope everyone has a someone who they love as much as I love my mom.

She Always tells me she loves me.

My mom tells me she loves me every day, even while I'm away at school she is always texting me reminding me that she cares and that she misses and loves me. One of the best feelings in the world is knowing someone loves you even if it is just your parents.

She Trusts me.

All relationships should be built around trust, even ones with your parents. If you want your children to trust you then you have to start by trusting them as well. My mom has always given me her trust and by doing that she has made me an honest person who is trustworthy and comfortable talking to her about anything.

She believes in me.

Growing up with anxiety wasn't easy and it continues to be difficult everyday. I am constantly doubting myself and have the fear that I won't be good enough but my mom is always there to remind me that I am good enough and that I can do whatever I put my mind too as long as I believe in myself. Without her I wouldn't be applying myself and doing things that I'm afraid of. I push myself to try new things because my mom is there to tell me I can.

She tells me I make her happy.

Something my mom tells me all the time is that I maker her happy. She always reminds me that I'm an important part of her life and that she doesn't know what she would do without me. she tells me that I'm the reason she strives to be a better person and keep trying to have a better life. I want my mom to be happy and I'm glad that she is.

5. She's always proud of me:

“Oh you got a B, it should’ve been an A,” “and you got on the Dean’s List? Better get on it next year!” “You have two jobs at school? That’s nothing why don’t you get a job in the real world.” It’s hard to go home and listen to people practically tell you everything you do isn’t good enough. I hear this from my family a lot and it’s heartbreaking because I try so hard to make them proud. But even though these family members never tell me they’re proud of me and act like they don't care, my mom does. She tells me she is proud of me every day and that’s all that matters. Anxiety makes it difficult for me to do simple tasks and my mom has to help me once in a while. I’m not perfect, no one is but she’s always there telling me she’s proud even if it’s for something small like calling the doctor by myself because talking over the phone scares me or ordering my own meal when we’re out even though I’m nervous. She tells me she is proud of everything I do, big or little and she is always reminding me that I am good enough.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.
