The best friendships are the ones that contain plenty of laughter, support, and insults. They are the ones where you can act like yourself and not get judged for it. You can go to them for anything and they will always have your back.
The characters of New Girl are so diverse in a way that makes this show like no other and it exemplifies the meaning of true friendship and loyalty.
1. Jess
Jess is the main character of this wonderful show. She's bubbly, very open, and a little crazy. She sings about everything and anything. Her random voices, character impressions, and facial expressions will literally have you bursting out in laughter throughout the entire show.
2. Nick
Nick is sort of a mess. He does everything he can to avoid adulthood and responsibilities. He dropped out of law school with only one semester left and became a bartender but, he's a good guy and is almost as funny as Jess. He may have to write himself a note to put on pants but, he would do anything for his friends.
3. Schmidt
Oh, Schmidt. After losing a bunch of weight and gaining confidence, he is very concerned with what others think of him. There is a jar in the loft dedicated to him and whenever he says or does something douchey, he has to put money in it. He may seem like he is more concerned with himself but he has a heart of gold.
4. Winston
Winston can be irrational at times and may be a little too obsessed with his cat, Ferguson, but he knows who he is. Even though anxiety may make him get naked, he isn't afraid to express himself or what he wants, like a bathtub for the apartment.
5. Coach
Coach may seem like he knows how to get girls but he is painfully incapable of talking to them. He has a rather aggressive demeanor but he is one of the more dominant characters of the show. His competitiveness can sometimes cause him to be arrogant and he may be moody most of the time but, there's nothing he wouldn't do for his friends.
