5 Reasons Your Eyebrows Are Actually So, So Important

Yes, this entire article is actually just about eyebrows.

Okay, so, I thought I was all moved into school. My room looked great, I was ready for class and my kitchen was filled with food. I was feeling good and super prepared for this semester – until I realized I had forgotten to get my eyebrows done.

It may seem silly or even dramatic to write an entire article about why I was so upset I forgot to do my eyebrows, but let me tell you, eyebrows are so important.

So, in my most riveting and newsworthy article yet, I present, 5 reasons why eyebrows are so essential.

1. When they look good, you look good

Nothing makes me feel better than freshly landscaped eyebrows. I could be wearing a new outfit, with new shoes and perfectly done makeup, but if my eyebrows are not on point, there is no point.

2. They’ll never quit on you

Okay, so at some point we've all had bad eyebrow experiences. Whether it was a bad wax or you got a little carried away with the tweezers, it happens. But luckily for our eyebrows, we've got options. No matter what happens, there are always ways to keep your brows looking fresh and youthful; everything from eyebrow pencils to eyebrow tattoos.

3. Dirty looks

I know we're all great people and no one would ever want to cause any problems, but sometimes you just can't help but give out some dirty looks. And what's a good eye roll without an eyebrow raise anyway? (Bonus points if you can raise one at a time)

4. The compliments

Ladies, is there any better compliment to receive than someone telling you that your eyebrows look good? I think it’s because getting your eyebrows done is kind of painful. After getting hot wax ripped off my face and having my skin turn bright red, it is nice for the finished product to be appreciated (By someone aside from myself of course).

5. They’re aesthetically pleasing

Let’s be real, eyebrows are one of the most aesthetically pleasing features on our faces. No matter who you are or how attractive you are, everyone would drop serious points if we didn’t have eyebrows. Now don't get me wrong, I know that there are more important things than good eyebrows. And in the grander scheme of life there are way more deserving things to be thankful for, like good health and family. But while I'm on this subject of things I'm thankful for, my eyebrows are definitely one of them (And Julie from European Wax Center for keeping them fabulous).

Don’t believe me? There’s actually an entire website dedicated to showing us what our favorite celebs look like without eyebrows:(http://celebswithnoeyebrows.com/)

Someone gets me.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
