5 Reasons Why Everyone Loves Fall

One of the best seasons for these reasons.

It’s that time of year again where the air becomes crisper and the nights become shorter. We’re beginning to pack away our tank tops and shorts and breaking out our scarves and boots. We’re watching the leaves change from green to orange and red. Fall is a wonderful time and here are a few reasons why it is one of our favorite seasons.

1. The Fashion

This is probably my favorite thing about fall! This is the season where we get to be creative and experiment with our style. I love wearing floppy hats and dresses with boots. I also am obsessed with wearing tights and high-waisted shorts. My main fall fashion inspirations would definitely be 70s Stevie Nicks and the witches in American Horror Story: Coven. Their fashion senses are amazing, especially Emma Roberts' character.

Fall is also when it is acceptable to wear leggings and oversized sweaters!

2. Pumpkin Spice Lattes!

This is when the iced coffee becomes hot and the white girls flood the lines of every Starbucks. The PSL is back again and we simply cannot resist. Starbucks also just came out with a pumpkin spice flavor for their frappuccino bottles!

3. Holidays!

It's so hard to believe that Halloween is only two weeks away! And the best part, there's five nights of Halloween this year! If you're confused about what I mean by this, since Halloween is on a Monday, Halloweekend goes from Thursday night to Monday night! I hope you all invest in multiple costumes. Also, don't forget to go pumpkin picking soon. Thanksgiving is another amazing holiday. I love hanging out with my family and just sharing stories about how thankful we all are for each other.

4. The Food

Who has two thumbs and loves butternut squash soup? This girl! The foods of fall are the best foods. I already mentioned butternut squash soup and pumpkin spice lattes, but a few other favorites are apple cider, pumpkin rolls, and candy corn! And who could forget that amazing Thanksgiving feast with turkey, mashed potatoes, and pie?

PS: My mom makes the absolute best butternut squash soup too by the way.

5. Football

Another fall favorite is football! Friday night, Sunday night, Monday night, Saturday football is literally one of the best parts of the fall season. When I was a cheerleader in high school, this was my favorite part of our season. Cheering at football games is just such a fun experience because you get so involved with the crowd! I definitely miss that part of high school so much, but being in the crowd at college football games is just as fun.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
