5 Reasons Why DOROTHY Is Everyone's Favorite New Band

Hot new band DOROTHY is gaining momentum after their songs have been featured in commercials for Levi’s and Pandora. “Raise Hell” and “Wicked Ones” are becoming the band’s most well-known songs. DOROTHY is the next big thing in rock music and here’s why.

1. They’ve been compared to the White Stripes, the Kills, AC/DC, and “a revved up Adele teetering on the brink of chaos".

Rock and roll Adele? Hello, who doesn’t want to hear that?

2. They are bringing back sex, drugs, and rock and roll, but in a better way.

They are a new generation of rock that keeps the powerful guitar riffs from classic rock but leaves the keytars and mullets in the past.

3. Raise Hell is the perfect song to roll down your windows and blow out your speakers to.

Or any other song on their self-titled album.

4. Lead singer Dorothy Martin is the woman we all aspire to be.

After overcoming her anxiety, she is now a confident badass who struts around stage and swears like a sailor.

5. She also doesn’t care how anyone sees her.

“I don't care if you think I'm hot or not, or want me to take my shirt off. I'm not going to. I’m going to grab the microphone and sing. That's what I came to do.”

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
