Often times I hear people say “I’m too old to go to Disney” or “Disney is just for kids, it wouldn’t be fun.” My twenty year old self is here to tell you that those are big fat lies. Disney is magical, and that being said, it was definitely intended for adults to enjoy, too.
1. Walt designed his parks with the whole family in mind.
Walt Disney designed his theme parks for the children and parents to enjoy together. As time goes on, more themes are being integrated into the parks that gear towards adults. For instance, Star Wars has been a huge hit and it gives the parents a chance to pass down some of their favorite movies that they watched as a child to their children.
2. It is a place to reminisce.
I think almost every adult out there has seen their fair share of Disney movies growing up. Disney is a place to re-live your childhood with all of your best memories. Parents get to act like children and spend a few days in the Happiest Place on Earth!
3. Adult amenities.
Disney has a wide variety of activities for adults to enjoy. Disney has 2 full service spas, elegant dining, a new shopping district in Disney Springs, behind the scenes tours, annual festivals, and 3 out of the 4 parks and the resorts have alcohol available at multiple locations. The best part is that’s all just the beginning!
4. Relaxation.
Yes, it is completely possible for adults to relax at Disney! In addition to the spa, adults can relax at the beach, play a round of golf or putt-putt, rent bicycles or enjoy a peaceful campfire and have a s’more.
5. Endless entertainment.
Disney offers fireworks and other shows nightly and daily at each theme park. The House of Blues in Disney Springs offers many shows and concerts and Disney Springs also home to Splitsville, a luxury bowling alley, as well as many other dining experiences and musical performances. Disney's Boardwalk is also home to night clubs, such as the ESPN Club, and a piano bar.
When it comes to Disney, there is much more than what meets the eye. Disney is a wonderful for place for kids, and the kids at heart.
