Holy cow it's been 20 years since the premiere of the ground breaking show Buffy the Vampire Slayer!! In 1997, Buffy was a controversial show in its self. But, even today it's still one of the most relevant TV shows around. Here are 5 reasons why we still love Buffy!

1) FEMALE POWER!! The show is all about it! Buffy Summers is a bad ass teenage girl who is super strong, smart, and funny. More than ever we need shows that show strong female characters and Buffy fits the mold and then some.

2) The show covers all kinds of relationships, homosexual, heterosexual, family, and most importantly friendship, you name it they got it.

3) Buffy shows the hardships; in not only high school, but college and early 20's as well. What ever you may be going thorough in life Buffy has probably covered it.

4) Even today the wittiness and quick demeanor of the show pulls people in just from watching one episode. When I was in 6th grade I watched only one episode of Buffy and was immediately hooked.

5) Finally, the show is able to give you an escape from reality.

What ever the reason may be Buffy The Vampire Slayer is still and probably will always be one of the most relate able and best tv shows of all time.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."
