If you haven't seen New Girl (and I recommend that you do), you've probably at least seen a picture or gif of a character, Jess. Usually these are pretty funny, scattered with her ridiculous quotes. In fact, we should all look up to Jess and try to be like her. Here's a couple reasons why:

1. She's weird.

Jess really doesn't care what other people think about her. She's a little out there and shows us why we should embrace our weirdness.

2. She's human.

She owns up to her mistakes. There's countless times in the show that she makes a mistake, and will do whatever it takes to make up for it.

3. She's a great friend.

Even if it's being a good friend to your ex-boyfriend (Jess and Nick forever), she's always there. Jess goes to extremes when she's doing things for her friends, and we should do as friends as well. She also values her friendships, and wants her friends to get along with her boyfriends. She wants everyone in her life to get along.

Jess is really out there, and the coolest part about it, is that she accepts that. She's going to do whatever she wants. Jess knows that her friends will be there for her, even if she's a total weirdo. We should be doing the same. We should that we are unique people and having the time of our lives, because the people that matter will always be there no matter.
