5 Reasons We Love Marquette Basketball

Basketball season is a time for cheers, jerseys, mini donuts at the Bradley Center, heartbreak, and excitement. Marquette basketball is built on tradition and excellence. Each and every game is more exciting than the last. Will you get on the big screen? Will Wojo rip off his jacket? Will the Golden Eagles come out on top?

#1 Coach Wojo

Wojo has brought great energy and experience to Marquette's young team. He cares about the fans and has been seen handing out donuts and breakfast sandwiches to the first fans at early games.

#2 The Tradition

With alumni like Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler, Marquette fans pride themselves on years of success. The ability to watch two Golden Eagles playing together for the Chicago Bulls is just an added bonus.

#3 School Spirit

Marquette fans are some of the most passionate people I've ever met. They wear their blue and gold with pride year round, no matter where they are.

#4 The Mini Donuts at the Bradley Center

A quick plug for the world's best donuts. I dream of the powdered sugar, cinnamon mix and make sure I pick them up at every home game. Sil's Mini Donuts, keep doing your thing.

#5 The Highs & Lows

Marquette fans are there through thick and thin. Part of the reason that we love MU Basketball is because of the anticipation. The team will take you on a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, but no matter what, we'll always love the gold and blue.

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
