Josh Fox (creator of the influential Gasland documentary series thatshowed the negative impact of the natural gas industry from the inside and outside) is now taking his latest film on climate change on a Kickstarter-funded tour. Here are some reasons why you should watch it and support the tour.

1. The film shows how climate change is having an impact on people all over the world, by letting them speak for themselves.

Josh interviews members of affected communities in China, Ecuador, New York, the Pacific Islands, and more to document unique and personal stories of resilience, innovation, community, and love of what climate can't change.

2. The imagery is hauntingly beautiful and will make you want to fight hard for nature.

Footage of the Amazon rain forest, trees in Pennsylvania, the Pacific Ocean and Icelandic glaciers remind viewers that we live in an ecosystem with no borders, and reminds us to love it.

3. Climate change is talked about in honest, simple terms.

It might be hard to hear, but it will open your eyes to just how urgent this issue is. It's not a fun topic, but it shares insightful talking points from climate change experts that you will never forget.

4. It will leave you inspired to make a difference.

And it even suggests some of the things you can do to help.

5. It will make you want to dance.

The soundtrack is beautiful, and the emotional roller coaster it takes you on drops you off at an ending that makes you want to get on your feet.

For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
