5 Reasons Why You Should Watch Gossip Girl
Huffington Post

When Gossip Girl was still on television, I never thought it would be interesting, I thought it was just another boring show about rich teenagers. But since the show has gone off air, and more of my friends have told me they watched the entire series while it was still airing, I took some time to figure out what was so great about this show. After episode one, I was hooked and here are 5 reasons why you should give it a try and get hooked too.

1. The Drama

If you have ever watched a soap opera and thought about how much better the drama would be if you could relate to it, then you have found your answer. The drama in this series is absolutely unbelievable. There never will be a moment when you are telling yourself you are bored of the show. From the first episode, you will find yourself relating to different traits of each character. From Serena VDW’s urge to start somewhere new after spending a year away from home to Blair Waldorf’s need to keep up an act in order to keep everyone in her school in line, you definitely will be able to relate to something.

2. The Forever Changing Love Triangles

The love triangles in the episode are so juicy. As the series progresses they get more complicated and you are always wondering if people are going to last, or after a season finale, if they have found someone new. There are love triangles that are inevitable and find themselves showing up in almost every season, while others have a very bad falling out and never show up again.

3. The Men

Guys, honestly all of the beautiful actors’ in show are more than enough reason to give it a chance. From the beautiful piercing, blue eyes of Nate Archibald (played by Chace Crawford), to the dazzling voice of Chuck Bass (played by Ed Westwick) the male cast of GG is more than enough reason to watch the show. As the seasons change, like fine wine, they only get better with age.

4. The Women

The women are just as beautiful as the men. And at first that might seem immature (though you have to realize they are supposed to be late teens), however just like the men, the age as the seasons grow older too.

5. To Find Out Who GG Is

The whole point of the show is to find out the ultimate question – who is gossip girl. Honestly, I was shocked when I found out and I know you will be too. Don’t let the voice actor who reads the blast from GG fool you, I’m not necessarily saying it is someone of the opposite sex, I am just saying it is definitely an ending to remember. There are moments when you think you have found out GG’s identity, however you then realize it is just the writer’s way of fooling you and getting you to think you’ve won, when in reality, you haven’t.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

Obsessive Thoughts Keep My Brain Stuck On A Loop And Me Stuck On My Couch

Sometimes my brain just starts turning on an idea and it doesn't want to stop.

I don't know if it is related to my anxiety, perfectionism or depression. I don't know why it happens. It's frustrating, it's painful and it stops me from functioning.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
