5 reasons I want a guy like Nathan Scott

With the way love is going in this generation, I find that the only way to continue to believe in love is through looking at fictional characters that made you fall in love. One of the fictional characters that help me believe in love is Nathan Scott from the classic television show One Tree Hill.

Reason number 1: I want to be with a guy who knows that being with me is a privilege and knows that I am a prize, but does not treat me like a trophy. It may sound complicated, but if you think about it it's simple. Let me explain it in terms of Nathan and Hayley's relationship. Nathan knew that Haley was special. She was the love of his life, the first person who taught him how to love, and one of the few people that never gave up o him. Nathan knew this and appreciated her, but never limited her to just being his wife or Mrs. Scott. Hayley was still viewed and treated as a human being who he was lucky to have and he wanted to see her thrive, They were a unit. They loved each other so much, but they never caused or wanted the other to lose sight of who they are.

Reason 2: While there are times he may not communicate well, he is never afraid to tell Haley how he feels about her.

The things Haley needed to know or needed to hear came from Nathan in the most honest way possible.

Reason 3: He supports Haley to no end.

Reason 4: Nathan was a work in progress and not only did he recognize that, he took strides to change into the man Haley and his children needed him to be. He was able to become the man he never thought he would be because he was willing to work on himself.

Reason 5: He looks at Haley like she is the most beautiful person that he has ever seen, and that never changed throughout their relationship.

While I know Nathan Scott is not a real person. His character embodies everything that a man should be, and that girls should look for in a man. Nathan loved Haley with every bone in his body, did whatever he could to keep her, and every time something threatened their union he worked hard to make sure nothing kept them apart. He was so willing to work on their relationship and that is one of the things that I love about him.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
