5 Reasons Why I Need to Thank My Mom

If you're like me and are lucky enough to have a great relationship with your mom, you know that you'd be absolutely nothing without her love and support. While my relationship with my mom was not always rainbows and sunshine, I wouldn't trade our connection for anything in the world. Here are just a few of the many reasons why my mom is basically my savior.

1. She tells me what I need to hear

Whether it's good or bad I know that my mom will always tell me the truth, even if she knows it's the last thing I want to hear. She's one of the few people I can trust to give me honest advice.

2. She's just as crazy as I am

When I say she's weird, I mean she is weird. But my mom is one of the only people who's as strange as I am; so as a fellow weirdo, I've learn to love and appreciate all the odd moments we share.

3. I can trust her with anything

Except for your mom. It goes without saying that one of the most valuable aspects of a relationship is a strong sense of trust. So if you have this with your mom, don't ever take advantage of it. Knowing that I can pick up the phone and tell my mom absolutely anything is an amazing feeling.

4. She taught me how to be kind

"Just be kind" has become one of my phrases to live by, along with "treat others the way you want to be treated." Nobody is perfect, but my mother taught me that at the end of the day, we just need to be kind to one another, and I couldn't agree with her more.

5. She is the strongest person I will ever know

My mom has been through hell and back more times than I can count. She is unbreakable, and no matter how hard life gets, she'll never stop swimming.

So thank you mom, and know that I will never be able to thank you enough for all that you've done for me.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
