Just a forewarning once you start watching there is no turning back, you’ll become obsessed just like I did. It’s easily accessible on HLN almost every night and all nine seasons on Netflix.

There are so many episodes that it’s almost impossible to see the same episode twice when aired on HLN. It’s not like any other show and really showcases what forensic science is and how important it is to solve a case that isn’t necessarily easy to solve.

These are the reasons why I think you should start binge-watching

1. It’s all REAL

If you’re into mystery murders, seeing bodies and real footage this is your show. They don’t keep anything off limits, even showing pictures with blood stains from the crime scenes. Most of them ending in death, but each episode is different in its own way; no murder or crime scene is the same. The detectives can suspect previous murderers, but forensic science can twist it around and point to who really did it.

2. It’s not long

It only lasts 30 minutes with commercials, so it's not long at all like "Law and Order: SVU" which usually lasts an hour. The episodes are easy to follow and they make you pay attention, because the suspense keeps you on your toes. The cases are solved within a short amount of time, which is why there is no dull moment within each episode.

3. You’ll basically feel like a detective after watching it

It almost makes you feel smarter when watching it, because of all the new detective language you learn. You learn so many new ways to solve a murder case and how forensic science fits into solving one. Learning how a murderer thinks, and how a detective learns to work their way around a crime scene to solve how the murder took place.

4. They always find the murderer

Forensic files always find the perpetrator and never leaves a case unsolved. Sometimes the case goes cold, but then these investigators get information on the case which helps them overall solve it. No matter how hard it may be to find out the person who did it, they always seem to find a way to determine who the murderer was.

5. It keeps you guessing

You never know who the murderer is until the very end. The show goes through many suspects, in which you are convinced for a second, then a twist happens and it’s someone totally unexpected. It’s raw and riveting and keeps you on your toes, you can always guess what’s going to happen, but don’t be surprised when you’re wrong.

Forensic Files is nothing less than real and astonishing. You get to see interviews with friends and family of these people that are murdered and it really is jaw dropping in how these detectives figure out some of these cases. You must see it for yourself!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
