5 Reasons To Not Give Donald Trump Your Vote

Donald Trump. That name incites fear, anger, disappointment, and (unfortunately) excitement in millions of Americans. Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the 2016 presidential election and many of us thought the same thing: this is one big joke. Sadly, Trump has (thus far) remained true to his announcement and is currently dominating the initial polls of 2016 according to Politico. Some have found themselves drawn to Trump because he has a big voice, that he likes to use any chance he gets. However, it seems that many of his supporters cannot possibly be listening to what his voice is saying, because if they did, they would certainly be just as terrified as the rest of us...right? The hate, and fear-mongering that Donald Trump has gained so much media attention for has become the over-reaching platform for his campaign--since he truly has no other solid (realistic) plans for his presidency. If I have any Trump supporters reading, here are 5 reasons you should reconsider giving Trump your vote this year:

1. Trump is sexist!

What? Donald Trump is sexist? Yes. Yes he is. Whether it is his antiquated stance on public breastfeeding, his unnecessary comments about presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, or of course, Rosie O'Donnell, Trump is not subtle in his opinions on women. In 2016 the impact of having a sexist president in the White House promises for irrevocable damage for the plight of women starting the day of Trump's inauguration.

2. He has no political experience...like, at all.

I mean...the picture honestly says it all. Donald Trump believes that because he has managed to become disgustingly rich, he has the chops to run the damn country. Business experience (in which he has had pitfalls as well) does not equate to political experience, and Trump's lack of knowledge when it comes to running a world superpowercould come back to haunt us all should he ever be elected.

3. Trump is a bully!

Um, yeah. That happened. It also wasn't the first time that Trump lashed out like a schoolyard bully. When the media reports on things that Trump has said or done that show him in a negative light (so like, everything) he has this ridiculous reputation for publicly shaming the media in inappropriate ways. The picture above is speaking of when Trump publicly mocked New York Times reporter Serge Kovalski. After receiving backlash for his actions, Trump released a statement saying: “I have no idea who this reporter, Serge Kovalski [sic], is, what he looks like or his level of intelligence.” Trump then demanded an apology...from Kovalski for wildly accusing him of remembering him! He also added that Kovalski "should stop using his disability to grandstand and get back to reporting for a paper that is rapidly going down the tubes.” Trump often has to take to media sources to backtrack on things he has said once they come under fire, and this is not presidential behavior.

4. Trump is racist!

Donald Trump has this amazing talent, of being totally inappropriate, and racist in the worst way possible. Beginning his campaign by calling out Mexican immigrants for being rapists, then continuing on to say that he blames President Barack Obama for riots in Baltimore simply sue to his race. Trump never fails to amaze with what he can accuse those of a different race of doing, and he seems to have no intent of stopping.

5. His own party wants him gone!

From the start of his campaign, members of the GOP have openly criticized his hateful politics, and insisted that they do not support Trump. Many disapprove of Trump's disrespectful attitude towards both his fellow candidates, and the GOP itself. His actions have led to the GOP scrambling to derail his campaign for the sake of the party; since his candidacy is likely to make a mockery of the party he has affiliated himself with. While the party works to divert attention away from Trump, his fellow candidates continue to speak out about how they feel about him. During a speech to his town hall in Coontoocook, New Hampshire presidential candidate Jeb Bush said: "Just one other thing -- I gotta get this off my chest -- Donald Trump is a jerk." then adding: "You cannot insult your way to the presidency." 'Nuff said, Jeb.

There are so, so many more reasons to avoid voting for Trump that I did not mention here, and if you don't believe me you should do your research! Donald Trump is a hateful, manipulating, and most importantly, dumb man. He has used the fact that he has nothing to say to his advantage, only because he does so very loudly. Trump has zero experience in politics, and he had the audacity to think that he can somehow win Americans by spewing hate everywhere he goes. Don't allow him to do that. The values that Trump endorses are not American values, and in my opinion he can take his:

woman hating, disability-mocking, nonsense-talking, racist, Islamophobic, toupee-wearing ass somewhere else!

He can also, FEEL THE BERN!!!!!

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
