5 Reasons To Love The Chicago Cubs

1. We are The World Series Champions

After 108 years of the longest championship drought in the National League the Cubs crushed the Billy goat curse in 2016. We all watched the series (if you didn’t stop reading this blog and go somewhere else please) and if you’re anything like me you were curled in a ball crying in anxiety during game 7 as we went into 10 innings and a ridiculously times rain delay. But at the end of the night they were tears of joy because the Chicago Cubs are World Champions!

2. The best fans you'll ever find

“Best in the World”, duh the team is named the best in the world BUT the teams fans are also named the best in the world! It’s all about loyalty, a true Cubs fan has never and will never veer away from our beloved team, even defending them throughout the 108 years’ curse. It’s also a family tradition, going to games every summer and passing the love to other generations. Cubs fans are also the fans that have the most fun! Supporting our team is easy when everybody’s having the time of their lives. Most importantly, we never get mad or lose hope, we got this cubbies! And the best fans+ best team= best games. Nobody does a summer outside game party Chicago! The singing of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” is iconic not only because every person is standing and singing their hearts out, raising up beers in cheers, but we also tend to be led by some pretty amazing celebrities.

3. Wrigley Field

Wrigley is one of the only two iconic old- school ballparks in MLB. Wrigley keeps the personality and closeness to the team and the area, with hand- operated scoreboard, adjacent rooftop seats, red brick walls, and ivy- covered fencing. Wrigley was he first venue to allow fans to keep foul balls, proving my theory that Chicago Cubs are the sweetest people.

4. Kris Bryant is a superstar (and babe)

Kris Bryant is the only baseball player to win college player of the year, Minor League player of the year, top rookie, and MVP in four consecutive years. IN 2013, Bryant was awarded the Golden Spike award and the Dick Howser Trophy, both that are awarded to the top collegiate player, Louisville Slugger First Team All- American, and the College Baseball News National Player of the Year after he lead the nation with 31 home runs! In 2014, Bryant received Baseball America’s Minor League Player of the Year. In 2015, Bryant joined the Cubs and won the NL Rookie of the Year and an All- Star selection. In 2016, he was, with no surprise, named the MVP!

5. Bryzzo

Enough said.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
