Kindness is one of the most important traits that can be shared. Showing respect, compassion, and kindness can instantly brighten someone's day. Kindness can be shown through acts as simple as a smile or a wave to something bigger such as a gesture or act. There are many self-explanatory reasons to be kind, but here are 5 of the main reasons I came up with.
1. You never know what others are going through.
This is so important as so many battles faced are invisible to others. Showing compassion, respect, and kindness to everyone is of the utmost importance.
2. Treat others how you want to be treated.
If you belittle others, then they may not be as kind to you, but if you are kind, your kindness will be reciprocated.
3. Kindness if contagious.
When you see random acts of kindness occurring, it is so easy to emulate those behaviors. Being nice to someone can make their day, month, or year.
4. Kindness is free.
It costs NOTHING to be kind. Just a simple hello, compliment, or kind deed can brighten someones day. It is the little things that keep people going.
5. You shouldn't really need a reason.
Being kind and respectful should just be a part of everyones daily routine. It doesn't take any extra time or cost any extra money, but it will shape the way one acts and is perceived in life.
