Talk of Myers-Briggs, a personality test used to categorize personalities in a number of ways, can easily grab an individual's attention—but there is a certain type that demands attention. The ISFJ, also know as "The Helper," is known for their nurturing, consistent and loyal behavior. That being said, the ISFJ often falls under the radar due to their quiet and humble demeanor—but they deserve recognition for all they do for individuals.

Here are a few reasons you should have an ISFJ as a friend.

1. They will always love you.

No, really. They will, to a fault. ISFJ's are some of the most loyal friends. In a world where it is difficult to gauge another's sincerity and where it is difficult to maintain relationships over a long period of time, it is always nice to have that friend who is genuine in their care for you. An ISFJ may not have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with you, but they will always be happy to see you.

2. You will learn to love others in a more wholesome ways.

One of the best things about ISFJ friends is how they aim to serve other people in small and consistent ways. You will not see this type boasting, or declaring their love for others from the mountain tops—but you will see them laboring to care and serve those around them. Their acts of service inspire others to be more attentive and intentional with both their time and resources. ISFJ's are just overall reminders that we ought to slow down and nurture our communities.

3. You will constantly be surprised by all their different gifts.

One of the coolest things about the "IS" types is that their more reserved behavior leads them to be somewhat of a mystery to those around them. Anyone who takes the time to get to know them will constantly be surprised with the vast array of talents and stories that these individuals hold. While ISFJ's in particular are more private, they are almost always a delight.

4. They are "defenders."

People may know the ISFJ's as nurturers, and that is true. But do not under-estimate them. ISFJ's have deep moral and relational commitments, and they are not passive when it comes to protecting those they love. Their sense of loyalty will ensure that your relationship will not be polluted by any third parties.

5. They appreciate the little things.

ISFJ's are incredibly sensitive and awe-inspiring people. Spending time with them will inevitably lead one to notice and be grateful for the tiny things that make up their life. This quality even extends to others, as they choose to see beauty in other people. This act of gratitude is an extremely refreshing quality, especially in an overtly cynical world.

These are just a few of the reasons ISFJ's are great. If you become friends with one, you will notice that they will tie you up with their awesomeness, and it will be worth it.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
