It's a magical thing you know, the moment you realize that you've not only found a great guy friend, but there's an amazing connection between you two; a bond that no one else can come between. But before we even start, let me tell you, this isn't a friend zoned article; this article illustrates how one friendship, if you're that lucky to find it, expands and turns into something you can't find with anyone else. A guy best friend actually can give you more than anyone else. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be anyone without my friends, but from experience, my best guy friend means the world to me. Here are my top 5 reasons as to why my best guy friend is also my soulmate of a best friend.

1. Your friendship lasts through fights that would end any other friendship.

A few years ago, I had gotten into a very bad argument with my best guy friend, we'll call him my "Bestie," where he was put into a situation where he had to choose one side or another. He had made a decision that was the opposite of what I wanted, which sent me into a really sad time. You know what though? Four years later, and we're closer than ever. We chose to fight through the rough times because in the end, it really taught us what we'd do for one another and it made us stronger. You and your best guy friend should fight for each other; you're friendship is the most beautiful thing you'll ever have.

2. He thinks you're the prettiest and the most smartest person on your worse days.

You know, I've been friends with guys and I've certainly liked a lot of guys but they've come and gone, but honestly no one has made me feel better about myself than my Bestie. As soon as I start to say, "I look horrible," or "I mean I'm not that pretty," he immediately tells me to stop because he believes I'm the opposite. Then there are the days when I'm scared to graduate because I don't want to fail at life, want to know his response? He tells me that he knows that not matter what I try, I always end up being great at it. Those moments alone make me feel like the best person in the world. Every day, he makes me feel like I am enough; has your best guy friend lifted you up emotionally lately?

3. You stay up until 3:00 am talking about your deepest feelings...because only you two understand.

Sometimes you can't sit next to each other and talk about what's on your mind, so the phone has to suffice. But while you sit in the dark in bed, you don't feel alone; sometimes you really feel at peace. It's the time when you feel most connected and comfortable; I've had the most amazing conversations with my Bestie because we completely understand one another's frustrations and never fail to remind one another that we are good enough. Besides spending time on the phone, you know what was my favorite moment on the phone? The moments of silence; it wasn't awkward or because I got tired of talking, it was because it felt as though he was right next to me, I felt happy. Though we are hours apart while at school, we're still connected.

4. He will protect you.

This is quite simple, he wouldn't let a single soul hurt the person he admires, and you happen to be that person.

Simple as that.

5. In return, you'd give him the world if you could.

My Bestie is simply the best person I know. If I could solve every problem he had just so he stayed happy, I would. Never in my life would I ever intentionally hurt him because we've come a long way with one another. Changes have happened and real feelings have been told, but did that change us specifically? No. My wish is that we stay in each other's lives for the highs and lows and see where future adventures take us. My Bestie is in my life for a reason unknown, but I'm incredibly grateful I have him. I also hope that our friendship makes him learn that he is the greatest guy and he is enough. My Bestie has taught me so much about myself, I only hope I teach him about himself as well. Be the best you can be with one another.

I love you Bestie.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
