Have you ever wanted to create the sound that your favorite artists do? It is a lot easier than it sounds. First of all, we have the ultimate teacher of how to do things in YouTube to help us get started. That is a huge helper if you want to get to playing songs as soon as possible. The music industry is a hard thing to do, but playing music as a hobby can be extremely fun and worthwhile. There are a ton of reasons to learn how to play an instrument but here's a few to convince you:

You certainly need some musical education to play but it is not a burden of an education. It is not dreadful like certain classes may be. Certain music can be very tricky and musicians are very smart in order to understand it. Playing an instrument will immediately make you smarter and better educated.

2. It is simply fun.

Being able to play an instrument along to one of your favorite songs is such an incredible feeling. When you play, the goal is to simply have fun, and many musicians accomplish that. That is the driving force that keeps many musicians playing. Many classic rock musicians are still creating albums even though they may not be noticed anymore just because it is fun for them.

3. You'll be the life of the party.

If you are able to play an instrument and you tell people, chances are they will want to see it. And when you break out the guitar and sing a famous song, you will immediately become the life of the party. Everyone will want to talk to you and you will gain popularity immediately.

4. It teaches discipline.

You have to have the quality of discipline to play organized music. Music is very organized and in order to play correctly, you have to play certain things at certain times. It creates a different type of discipline in order to play in a band. Everybody has their own role, and you will need to play that role respectively.

5. It can eliminate stress.

Just as listening to music can eliminate stress, playing music can do the same thing. It is the same thing as playing a sport to relieve stress. It is a great way to let loose and be yourself and to forget about the rest of the world. Music allows you to express yourself in a way that words cannot.

So there you have it. If you are not convinced yet, go to some concerts and I promise you will be. I truly believe it is very beneficial to a person to at least learn how to play one instrument if not many.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did.
