As we enter into the month of August, I'm starting to feel like I'm ready to go back to school. This summer has been good to me but I'm ready to be out and one of the reasons why I'm ready to leave is because I miss my favorite food spot, Oneonta Hots. There are five reasons why I think this restaurant is the real MVP so here we go.

1. They are open late.

As a New Yorker, I'm used to having access to stores and restaurants 24/7, and when you go away to college you have to get used to the fact that the dining halls close at 8 p.m. Now this can be really annoying when you are stuck in your room trying to finish a term paper or studying for a big exam and don't have time to go to the dining hall. So, the fact that Oneonta Hots is open late is a win for me because I'm not used to eating dinner so early. I normally have dinner at around 9 p.m., so this restaurant comes in clutch.

2. Their wings are the bomb.

If you go to SUNY Oneonta, Hartwick College or you're just in town you have got to try the Sweet Heat Wings. They taste like heaven on Earth! If I could marry their wings I would. Just think of your favorite food and imagine it in these wings. That's how great they are. Add some tater tots and you've hit the jackpot.

3. They deliver.

Now I know this isn't really a big reason, but the fact that they deliver on campus is perfect, especially when I'm too lazy to go outside. Delivery is also awesome when I get the munchies out of nowhere at, like, 1 a.m. Sometimes, a girl just needs some tater tots.

4. Their menu is versatile.

Oneonta Hots is basically American cuisine, but one thing I love about this place is the wide range of food to choose from. Sometimes, I want something different -- like a chicken wrap or mac and cheese. I can count on Oneonta Hots to hook me up.

5. Their food makes me happy.

The last reason why Oneonta Hots is the real MVP is because their food makes me happy dance. Every time I order from here my mood gets lifted. I'm in love with food, as every one else is, so this place is definitely in my top 10 favorite restaurants.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
