5 Reasons Why Being The Oldest Sucks (Sometimes)
Brightly

If you are the oldest child, you understand the struggle. You'll never be the favorite (that title goes to the youngest). You will be watched like a hawk, your every move scrutinized. Oh, and don't forget, you're the guinea pig child, so your parents literally don't know what to do with you. Great! Here are five things all elder siblings can relate to.

1. Literally everything is your fault.

It doesn’t even matter if you’re physically there. Out of town and your siblings get in a fight? Your fault. Your sibling break something doing the dishes? Your fault. (It’s fine though I’m fine).

2. You’re supposed to be a role model for the rest of your siblings, yet they don’t have to be for any siblings younger than them.

3. You got everything later than they did.

I got my first phone in sixth grade, and had to BEG for an iPod Touch, meanwhile, my siblings already have laptops, phones, and iPads.

4. Your parents continue to ask you to do chores even though your siblings are perfectly capable of doing it themselves.

Those demon children know that mom and dad will never make them do any chores.

5. But being the oldest will still be the proudest title you can have.

Not to mention, you get to set the standards for everyone rather than attempt to reach them.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
