5 Reasons Why Nick & Jess Should Be Together

Anyone close to me knows that New Girl is one of my all-time favorite television shows. I love each and every person associated with the show and consider Schmidt to be my spirit animal. It is the show I go to for quotes the most and will re-watch it as many times as possible. When Nick and Jess FINALLY got together, I was the happiest human on the planet. However, they broke up shortly after and it was the saddest moment. Since then, I have spent my time wishing they would get back together. Below are 5 reasons why they should definitely go back to being the most amazing couple of all time.

1. They are the perfect amount of weird.

From actually screaming "weird" at each other to doing the slow-motion chicken dance at a wedding, these two are the correct amount of weird. They are each weird separately, but when they come together, their weirdness comes together to make a sort of power-weird and it is the absolute best.

2. They take care of each other.

They would go through thick-and-thin to take care of each other, and that is something everyone needs. They are each other's best friend and would do anything to protect each other. From driving to Jess's ex's house wearing weird hats to pretending to be each other's date to a wedding - they are always going to do whatever they need to do to take care of the other.

3. They are both complete messes.

Nick refuses to go to any doctor, ever and Jess is just a mess in general. They are both hot messes, but they come together and be a bit less messy. Their relationship is a beautiful thing.

4. They come together when life gets rough.

One of my favorite scenes of all time is when Jess dresses up as Elvis for Nick's father's funeral and asks "You okay mama?". When either is going through an especially hard time, the other will always be there to pick them up and remind them why they are so special.

5. They are so clearly perfect for each other.

They are the ultimate power couple. When Jess finally admitted she still has feelings for Nick, my heart basically exploded. I forever will await the day that they reunite as the world's best duo. The way they look at each other makes my heart extremely happy and they deserve to be with the people who know them best - which is each other.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
