As an avid anime/manga fan, I've been thinking about anime's Mt. Rushmore of reassessing my top shows of all-time. After a three-decade long tenure of manga and twp decades of visual adaptation, Naruto is ending soon and I wanted to make sure people understand how great this really is compared to past, present, and future shows. These are the traits that separate Naruto from the others.
Naruto is fast-paced ninja violence at its finest.
The sparks that fly off the kunai, the swift kicks - every fight scene in Naruto beats any other anime's fight scene from sheer quality alone. Also the phrase "fast-paced" is key (DBZ fans take note). These epic fight scenes prove my point.

Look at those sparks fly, baby *sigh*

Naruto has mastered the art of feels.
Me after the first episode:
Sadness, hatred, love, and every emotion ever named is explored in the series. Most anime go for laughs, but Naruto's not afraid to make you think about war, justice, and to explore your feels with a tear-jerking soundtrack that has a custom song for each feel you have.
The jutsus are crazy.
If you haven't made a hand sign to spit flames out of your mouth odds are bae, a relative, or a friend has. You can't help but want to learn so you can release your inner badass:
The characters become your ninja family.
They piss you off (Danzo), make you laugh and you see their life struggles. And their problems are so relatable it's impossible not to have a fav person or fav ninja squad.

Naruto's come up story is the best. Period.
This kid went from hated to celebrated as the strongest ninja on his block. He went from getting kicked out stores to his village's lord - the best embodiment of an underdog story. Hands down.
Respect the legacy.
