Your mom is your biggest fan. She is the one you call to vent, to get reassurance, and to ask ridiculous "adulting" questions that you will never admit to asking. She is always there for you, no matter how badly you screw things up. She loves you more than anything and especially when you don't deserve it. There are many reasons why your mom is your biggest fan, and I hope for your sake that you can agree with the following five.

1. She believes in you more than anyone else.

Your mom of course believes you fall just short of Super Woman (or maybe not short at all). She believes that you can do anything you set your mind to, under any circumstance. She validates you, cheers you on, and supports you completely. She has a special talent of making you believe in yourself too.

2. She is the happiest when you are happy.

Your mom wants you happy, at any cost. She does everything in her power to keep you that way and she always puts your happiness before hers. This could be as simple as her giving you her piece of pie because "she doesn't want it," but you know she does (who wouldn't)? As little as it is, or as big, your mom is always thinking of you first.

3. She knows you deserve the world.

Your mom still believes that your "Prince Charming" is searching for you. She thinks you deserve a fairy-tale sort of love. Anything less is just not acceptable.

You should have the job of your dreams and you rightfully deserve it. If you are rejected, well then they didn't deserve you anyhow.

If you don't get what you want, then she believes there is something better out there for you.

According to your mom, you can do no wrong. How could someone not love you?

4. She talks about you all the time.

Okay, honestly she talks about you too much. She brags and brags and you seriously question if you are as great as she puts on. Sure your mom loves to talk about you, but I highly doubt the random bystander gives a hoot. But you are her favorite subject so she will continue to work you into any conversation.

5. You are the best part of her life.

Because no one has ever loved you more than your mom and no one ever will. She will forgive you relentlessly and love you forever, even when you don't deserve it (and a lot of the times you don't).

There is no bond like the bond of a mother. She can replace almost all others, but no one can replace her. Love her while you can, with all your heart. She deserves all of this in return.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
