Anyone who has spoken to me in the past year can tell you that I am a dedicated Hamilton fan who adores Lin-Manuel Miranda. Lin has so many amazing qualities, and he deserves all the happiness and fame that Hamilton has brought to him. Here are 5 reasons why Lin is an incredible man who deserves to be loved!

1) #Ham4Ham Shows

Lin understands that the ticket prices to see Hamilton are high and the chances of getting a ticket are low. Therefore, every Wednesday and Saturday show included a #ham4ham show. People could pay ten dollars to enter a raffle to win tickets. In addition, Lin invited different talents, either from the cast or outside performers, to come perform a skit or song for the people waiting for the raffle. He did this so that no one felt as if they wasted a day or were going home empty-handed. Thousands of people showed up to the #ham4ham shows to try their luck and watch an awesome show!

2) Husband Goals

Lin truly sets the standards so high for all other guys. Not only is his a genius, this is a fact not an exaggeration, he is also a sweetheart. He surprised his wife on their wedding day by having family and friends join in on a choreographed number of the song "L'chaim" from Fiddler on the Roof. This was super cute, and I now expect something like this to happen at my wedding! I included the link to the video, so watch and enjoy!

3) Interacts With Fans

Lin is the best at responding to his fans, especially over Twitter. He is always making our mornings and evenings with his funny and thought-provoking tweets. Also, Lin retweets and responds to questions that his fans have. He tries to connect with as many people as he can and show how much he cares about us. Here is an example of the lovely type of things he tweets in the morning to make our day!

4) He Is Extremely Talented

Lin is incredibly talented. Hamilton is an amazing piece of art which has impacted the lives of those around the world. Lin not only starred as the title role of Alexander Hamilton, a role which he was completely fantastic at portraying, but he also wrote the lyrics, score, and book for the entire show, an unfathomable task. But Hamilton is not the first show Lin has written. He is also known for his smash-hit musicalIn The Heights which was also a Tony winning production.

5) He Is Just So Darn Adorable

No arguments about it!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
