I can’t remember how old I was when I took my first trip to Boston, but what I can remember is not wanting to leave. I think that’s a feeling I’ve always had when it comes to the city.
1.Boston Strong
Ever since the Boston Marathon Bombing it has become even more apparent that the People of Boston consider each other a family. The community is tight-knit especially when it comes to things that threaten it. Bostonians also love their sports teams, and it’s an incredible feeling being a part of those moments, thousands of people join together to cheer on a team that ultimately represents the slogan “Boston Strong”
2.The History
There is a certain amount of pride that comes along with living in a city that seems to have been built on top of so much history. It’s a humbling experience visiting any one of the historical sites in Boston because it allows you to feel like you’re a part of something so much bigger.
3. It provides endless opportunities
Whether you’re looking for a part time job or a career, there seem to be endless opportunities in a city like Boston. It’s the home of some of the best hospitals in the nation, which house some of the most intelligent people. Entrepreneurs look at the city like it’s a gold mine, and businesses are more apt to flourish.
4. It's a city full of Colleges
This is the reason I chose to attend college in Boston, there were so many options based on what I wanted to do for the rest of my life and the community was something I've always wanted to be a part of. Being surrounded by other colleges makes me feel like I will make more connections than someone who goes to a school in the suburbs. When you have multiple colleges as your neighbors you notice just how many people in the city of Boston are all working towards a common goal, it’s incredibly inspiring.
5. Boston feels like home
While Boston is a busy city, it still manages to offer you a place to relax. Whether you’re walking along the muddy river, running along the Charles, or sitting in the Boston Commons, there’s a place for you to take a break from the “city life”. You can have the best of both worlds and that feeling alone is one of the reasons I love living in Boston.
