The common listicle has become one of the top forms of online journalism. Their eye-catching photos and relatable content provide for an easy read and a good chuckle. Yet, this seemingly perfect form of journalism has its flaws. Here are the five reasons why listicles are actually the worst.

1. Click Bait, Click Bait, Click Bait.

Are you sure I won't believe those facts? Oh lizards can regrow their tails, do tell me more Internet.

2. The redirection.

Why am I always going from Facebook on my phone to a page about coconut oil? I just wanted to see the 10 reasons why Taylor Swift is Bae!

3. The sheer numbers!



Listicles appear as fast as rabbits reproduce.

4. The stupidity is baffling.

Someone had to take time to find all these photos...

5. The fact that this article will get more shares than my previous articles.

Hurts a little to say out loud.
