5 Reasons To Join Stitch Fix
Stitch Fix

Do you hate spending hours in a store searching for the "perfect" outfit? Do you always end up buying the same type of clothes? Is your closet all the same color? Do you have a special event coming up and don't know what to wear? Do you want a personal stylist for a reasonable price? If so, you should check out Stitch Fix!

What is Stitch Fix?

"Stitch Fix is an online styling service that delivers a truly personalized shopping experience, just for you. You are assigned a personal stylist who will handpick pieces to fit your tastes, needs, and budget—and mail them directly to your door. Each box contains five items of clothing, shoes, and accessories for you to try on at home. Keep what you love, send the rest back in a prepaid USPS envelope. Shipping and returns are free—even for exchanges!"

How does it work?

1. Fill out your style profile to help your stylist understand your size, shape, style, budget, etc.

2. Decide when you want to receive your first box! Choose a date on the calendar. Then, your Stylist will select your items, and you will be charged a $20 styling fee. That $20 will be applied as a credit toward anything you keep from your shipment... and I've never had to return anything, and I've received three fixes so far!

3. Wait patiently and eagerly for your Fix to arrive!

4. Get notified that it arrived and excitedly run to the door and open it up.

5. Try on your five items! Remember to create new outfits by pairing what’s in your shipment with items that are already in your closet.

6. Buy what you like and return the rest within three days.

You check out by logging into your account. When you pay the $20 styling fee will be applied as credit toward any items you purchase. If you buy all five items, they give you 25% off the entire purchase! Super great deal!

If you want to return any items all you have to do is put it in the bag they provide and drop it off at the post office within three days.

Here are five reasons why you should give Stitch Fix a try!

1. It will help you expand your style.

If you are like me and only own clothing in black, then Stitch Fix is perfect for you! They will send you items that fit the descriptions you fill out each time. They do very well with matching your style. But, sometimes they send a few things to mix your style up a bit which is always good.

2. You WILL find something new that you like.

I have had a total of 3 fixes so far, and I have not had to return one item yet. I also have never been a good shopper. It has always been such a struggle to find clothes I like, and that fit me well in a store. Stitch Fix has changed my shopping life so much!

3. It's so easy!

Seriously I don't think it could be any easier. You read the steps.

4. Everything is in style!

Stitch Fix works with more than 250 established and up-and-coming labels and brands. Sometimes you might even find some items in your fix featured on celebrities and in magazines. Super cool. Also, you can hardly find any of these clothes in a store.

5. You get a lot for your money.

If you really think about it, this is a great deal. You get five stylish items and then $20 back from the styling fee and then 25% off if you buy all five items. Plus, the items rarely disappoint. Also, in the end, you really will be saving money! Just think about how much these items would be at the mall and how much time you would have spent searching for them.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
