5 Reasons Guy Friends Can Be Your Best Buds

Obviously you can never replace or substitute good girl friends. But I could never imagine life without my best guy friends. They add a whole new dimension to my life that I am so grateful for. Here are some of the best reasons I keep my good guy friends around.

1. They bring out my silly side.

Some of my best laughs have been with my guy friends. Their goofiness and rowdiness is contagious and it makes things that much more fun.

2. They can minimize the dramain my life.

They are upfront with issues and will go with the flow most of the time. You can talk to them about anything and it tends to stay with them only.

3. They can show me that brotherly love in hard situations.

Sometimes guys just have a different aura about their supportive and protective side. Even as a friend, they can look out for you when things seem to be going wrong or you're emotionally spent. They are good at hard conversations but also with lightening the mood.

4. They are activity oriented.

I have noticed that at least in my guy friends, they always want to be doing something..I like that! Whether its going to play racquetball or just taking a trip to McDonalds...its always an adventure filled with many belly-aching laughs.

5. They often givemea hard time and tease me, but it is all out of love.

This only works if you have a good sense of humor. I personally love teasing the people I love, and guys do not hesitate to give that back. It is an ongoing badgering that is actually just hilarious. Some people don't really understand that form of humor or they don't know how to give it back. Maybe thats just me, but I love it. (I swear I am not a mean person haha)

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
