5 Reasons Why Growing Up With A Twin Is Awesome
Allison Kremer

He is the one that has been there for me since day one, watched me grow into a woman, and showed me what I deserve in this crazy place that we call earth. He is the hardest working man and most goal driven person I have ever met. He is stubborn. He is a family man. He is a believer in God. He loves going golfing and playing hockey. He loves farming. He is my friend. He is two minutes younger than me. He is my twin brother.

Here are five of the many reasons why growing up with a twin is awesome.

1. He knows me better than I know myself

I am telling you, it is a real thing when we can look at each other and automatically know what the other person is thinking without saying a word. My brother and I specialize at this. In twin language, one smirk says it all.

2. He set the bar high

Whether it is with family, friends or dating, he has shown me what I truly deserve in life, and how to do everything in life with love and passion.

3. He protects me

From being so shy in preschool and having him speak for me, to choosing a college, he has always had my back and supported me through the hardest moments of life that I have experienced.

4. He is my biggest competitor

Thanks to my brother kicking my butt a few times (or maybe ten), I now know what it is liked to get pushed and how to keep up with the “boys.”

5. He will forever by my "little" brother

No matter the distance, or circumstance, I know that I can count on him to be not only my brother, but my friend, competitor, and the best roommate growing up.

It is true after all, he is my other half.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
