Everyone knows the saying "A dog is a man's best friend". Sure, this may be true in some cases, but what about the precious felines of the world? Do they not matter enough to be considered a best friend? As a cat owner myself, I can personally testify that my cat is my best friend, despite how many times I say I'm a dog-person.
You can say anything to your cat and they won't tell anyone.
My cat is like my mom, I tell him everything. If you've ever pissed me off or gave me butterflies, he knows about it. The good news for me is that if you ever meet him, he won't spill the tea on anything I said.
They're very reasonable animals.
The one thing I love most about my cat is that he can be so logical sometimes. If I've had a rough day at work or school, I typically come home to rant to him about my day. Rather than feeding into my emotions and getting me more hyped up, he simply blinks at me and sits there stoically. In that blink, however, the message of a thousand words was received. I'm being excessive and should calm down.
They're very independent.
Have you ever met a cat that needed to be taken for a walk on the daily? Cats are perfect creatures because you don't have to worry about them getting into things they shouldn't. They sleep all day and use the litter box when they need to.
When they want to cuddle with you, it's the best feeling in the world.
Cuddling with a guy does not even compare to cuddling with a cat. And when a cat does choose to cuddle with you, it is an honor because of how rare that happens. You've been entrusted with petting and loving their small furry bodies.
They're all so cute.
Very rarely do you come across an ugly cat. They are all so soft and small that most of the time, you can pick them up. Who doesn't love soft and cuddly?
