5 Reasons to FINALLY put yourself first

Being kind does not always mean losing out. Putting the pressure of everyone’s happiness on yourself doesn’t help anyone in the end. It is not selfish to put your happiness first. In fact, sometimes it is a necessity. The relief of finally being happy is incredible. Unhappiness is the plague. It will spread among everyone you are around. You can’t expect people around you to be happy if you aren’t. One of the most important things in life is to be happy. It is what everyone strives for. You will be unable to move forward when you are stuck being sad and focusing on others all the time. In the end being happy will create a chain reaction of positivity that will only improve your life. You deserve to find happiness and by putting yourself first you will.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
