It's hard to only think of five reasons.

5 Reasons To See Your Favorite Band In Concert
Camryn Hart

I've always been a fan of Bad Suns, and once they announced their headline tour around the country, I knew I had to go. So I bought tickets, traveled to Chicago, and finally saw my favorite band perform in concert. To say the least, it was a great experience, and something everyone should go through. Here are my reasons why you should invest and travel to attend the concert of your choice:

1. You can hear your favorite song live, and not by a recording.

Being in the moment, and hearing a song live, one you've always known, is incredible.

2. "Live in the moment".

I've always had a relative understanding of the common saying, but it is especially true in concerts. Sure, you can record the music and listen to it later, but that takes away your focus. Instead, take it in. Watch. Dance. Put your phone away- sure, snap a few pics, but I can guarantee that you'll enjoy yourself much more without your phone in your hand.

3. Meet other people who enjoy the same music as you.

Going to concerts is always fun for the purpose of the music, but I always find myself looking forward to meeting new people as well. Sitting (well, standing) next to someone is bound to spark conversation, and I always find it memorable. Sure, I've had bad experiences with rude fans. However, for the most part, I've loved the people I find myself surrounded by. It's a rare, special bond, that isn't commonly found in other atmospheres.

4. You can meet the band members.

By far, this is one of my favorite parts of attending concerts. If the band is smaller, it is common that they'll hang around the venue to meet fans and thank them for coming to the show.

5. Joy, happiness, and oblivion to the outside world.

During concerts, it's common to find yourself in a wave of oblivion; the outside world doesn't exist. For a couple hours, it's you and the music. You forget about negative extremities and appreciate the moment just a little bit more than usual.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
