5 Reasons Why Dogs Are A Better Valentine
Animal Fair

With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought I'd write about something that makes single people like myself, wonder what the big deal about it is. In all honesty, there really is no big deal about Valentine's Day EVEN if you're in a relationship. But I was thinking, the only thing that never runs away from me or loves me endlessly is my dog...so why not always have my dog as my Valentine? So here are five reasons why dogs are a better Valentine:

1. Constant Cuddles

No matter the size, I always find puppies wanting to cuddle whenever you want to. They will snuggle up to you as you watch TV. Even if you're not always wanting to cuddle they'll just lay next to you, always there just silently giving you all the love.

2. Love You Even After Mistakes

NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU MESS UP IN LIFE DOGS WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Even if you failed an exam, you got a speeding ticket, or if you're the worst person in the world. Puppies will always snuggle you and love you no matter what.

3. Netflix Buddy

The best part about this is your puppy won't even judge what you decide to watch, even if it's the weirdest movie ever. OR even the weirdest TV show, they'll always snuggle up to you as you watch your favorite or guiltiest pleasure of a show on TV.

4. Nap Buddy

After a long day or week of classes or work, sometimes snuggling up to your puppy and taking a long nap is the best. They never seem to mind taking a little snooze throughout the day with you.

5. They Never Leave You

They're your best friend and you guy's do everything together. They make being single easier because you know you'll always have a companion to love and snuggle and watch Netflix with.

Sometimes dogs are better than humans, but either way! Have a good Valentine's Day and snuggle up to your puppy!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Bucket List To Live In The Now

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

mu bucket list

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
