5 Reasons Country Concerts Are The Best

If you know me, you know that I absolutely love going to country concerts. Over the past 2 years, I’ve been to my fair share of performances (more than I or my bank account would like to admit) and I’m always on the hunt to see who is going to be on tour near me. I’ve been to other genres of live music, but I can 100% say that nothing compares to country and can guarantee that it will be one of the most fun events you will ever attend.

1. They're actual musicians who enjoy playing music.

Anyone who has ever been to a rap concert would probably tell you how disappointed they were to see their favorite artist literally just jump around a stage while other people stand around near a computer. The people in the bands of country artists are honestly incredible musicians with so much talent. I always find myself amazed and impressed by how many instruments they bring out, especially the fiddle.

2. The artist actually sounds like they do on the radio

Could you imagine that?

3. It's a fun, positive atmosphere with great fans.

Half the experience of any concert will be shaped by the people you are surrounded by. Inevitably you have to deal with the annoying drunk people in any crowd, but typically I always have a really fun time and find myself chatting with people between sets.

4. There's something for everyone.

Do you want to get drunk and dance with strangers? Okay great! Do you want a nice family night out? Perfect!

No matter if you’re someone trying to party or if you’re a parent who wants to do something with the kids, a night of country music is appropriate.

5. It's honestly just a feeling.

Especially in the summer, there is nothing like a fun night spent listening and singing to your favorite songs. There’s just something about country music that puts you in a good mood and takes you back to a special time and place. These concerts make such great memories that I always look back upon quite fondly.

No matter if you’re at a sold out arena in a big city or a giant field in the middle of nowhere, you are bound to have a great time with friends. I think everyone needs to experience a country concert even if you’re not the biggest fan because I bet you’d still have a blast anyways. Country artists really are talented performers that go above and beyond just being on stage singing and seem like genuine people who are having just as much fun as you are.

2017 is a perfect year to see what it's all about. So many of country's hottest artists are on tour this year so get on it and splurge on a ticket to a show (or 3...) - you won't be disappointed!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
