5 Reasons Why College Students Dislike Thanksgiving

1. Thanksgiving break= Procrastination

Thanksgiving break basically means that we still have homework because classes aren't over During the break schoolwork doesn't technically stop, so somehow were "forced" to do work in this time where we are supposed to be spending time with family.

2. The questions from family members

.

Over Thanksgiving, we students are asked various questions from how those grades are looking are looking to if you are seeing anyone. Having to answer those questions can be tiresome because all we want to do is relax and eat our food.

3. The prices of tickets to come home

When going home for Thanksgiving, you better buy your bus or train tickets around two months before so don't you don't pay through the nose. Colleges students who buy tickets a month before Thanksgiving can drop between 80 and 100 dollars for a roundtrip ticket. Sorry about your bank account.

4. Heated family discussions.

It's true; we all know it. If someone in your family isn't talking about you, they eventually start talking about someone else or some important event. Here come the family debates in which half agree to disagree. Where people call each other out and you sit back and hope the discussion leans towards anyone but you.

5. Going back to school

Finals are upcoming. We are pulled back to break mode too soon and are back to school for about 2 to 3 more weeks. There is a constant reminder that there is studying that has to be done. It's not until Christmas break that we truly get to relax and be happy for the holidays.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
