Unlike other stores where you google 'help me' forums for hours and hours the night before, go grab a box off the shelf the next day and pray for the best after a few miles; footTech takes the shoe buying process to the next level! At footTech the staff utilize a gate-analysis in order to fully analyze each and every individual customer's feet. The customer stands roughly 3 feet from an employee and that employee begins to study each and every detail of that customer's feet. The customer is then instructed to turn-around, walk about 10 steps forward, turn-around and then walk back towards the employee. During this time, the employee is watching your walk and looking for pronation/ supination, off-balance and any other details that provide knowledge as to the exact spot your feet belong on the support spectrum mentioned earlier. These are all ailments and foot problems that occur in a split second, and unless a trained eye is intently looking for them, they will go unnoticed. Problem is, those exact same ailments can cause MAJOR issues down the road (see what I did there? LOL). 5. YO THEY GOT A GROUP-RUN AND IT'S FREE!!!

Each Saturday the staff at footTech hold their very own group-run. The group-run is offered at two different times, 6 AM for the early-birds and 7 AM for the later early-birds. Both times are packed with the coolest of people, all of which are super nice and welcoming! The run itself is a 6 mile course that starts at the front door of footTech, trails around back through Greek Circle, twists and winds throughout Texas Tech University and then goes right back to the store itself. There are designated turn-arounds for those whose workout calls for 1, 2 and 4 mile runs rather than the full 6 miles. Each group has members of all experience levels, so do not be worried about running on your own! I guarantee you'll find someone running the same pace as you any given Saturday. GET THIS, each time participants run, they fill out a raffle ticket for a drawing at the end of the run. The prizes range from socks to accessories, and whenever you don't win your ticket is still put towards the BIG KAHUNA at the end of every month, a brand new pair of shoes!!
