1. Family Parties are the BEST

Family parties have been a huge part of my life. Ever since I can remember having a huge family party almost every weekend as a child was one of the best things to ever happen to me. Since most all of my family lives less than 10 minutes away there isn't a day that goes by where I don't see them or have contact with them when I'm home.

2. Vacations are INSANE

On both sides of my family, vacations are AMAZING. Whether I'm going to a dude ranch in California or a lake house in Tennessee, they're an adventure. I never really know what to expect whether it's a crazy game of Pictionary or some killer karaoke its always so fun.

3. Everyone is so extremely weird with one another

When your extended family is as close as mine is the boundaries aren't the strongest. We basically are just ourselves-- our very weird selves. Whether your uncles are singing very badly to a song or you're dancing crazy with your cousins, there is never a dull moment when you have a family as weird and amazing as mine.

4. THE FOOD

Yes, we all know the importance of food but when you have a huge family at family get together, the food is ENDLESS. Whether it's some weird melon prosciutto thing (apologies to any family member who made that who reads this, I still love you), to life changing cheese potatoes, to donuts that your dad gets from Kentucky for every Christmas. The food is something that brings the family together and truly keeps them happy.

5. Support System

They will always be there for you. No matter what situation you're in your family will never leave you. Throughout any situations you go through, you have your family to go through it with you. They are my rock and they always will be. No matter who you are reading this my mom, aunt, grandparents, second cousin, or just some distant relative, thank you for helping me become the person I am. I wouldn't be the person I am without you. If you're just some random person, do me a favor and go call your cousin. Ask them to hang out! I bet you will have an amazing time. LOVE YOU FAM!

I'd like to dedicate this post to my beautiful Grandmother who passed away April 18th, 2017. Grandma, I love you more than words. Thank you for bringing so much light into my life. You made me laugh and smile so much and I will be thankful for that for the rest of my life. You gave me one of the best things in my life, my family. You had a hell of a life and I know right now you're having a hell of a time with Grandpa. I'll see you again, it might be in a long time but I promise I'll have lots of stories and I'll bring you a diet coke. Fly high, my love.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
