5 Reasons Why Ben Wyatt Is The Perfect Man

"Parks and Rec" is hands down one of the best shows on the entire planet. I mean who doesn’t love Amy Poehler? The answer is no one, everyone loves that beautiful blonde funny lady, because she is perfect and her character Leslie Knope is even more perfect. There is no doubt that the entire show is made up of a great cast of wonderful men and woman and the characters they play on the show are simply amazing. From the tough and rugged Ron Swanson, to the fierce and sassy Donna Megal… and Jerry is okay too I guess.

The television series shows lots of bad and great relationships (for example: Ron and any of the Tammys). The best relationship on the entire show has to be between the waffle-loving Leslie Knope and the nerd with the cute butt, Ben Wyatt. Ben Wyatt is a very complex character; he is funny, smart, nerdy, and a cute all wrapped up into the perfect man. Ben Wyatt is a great example of all around good man that every girl deserves and gives up hopes that someday we can all find our own Ben Wyatt.

So here are some reasons why Ben Wyatt is the most perfect man in the world, even though he may have been the worst mayor in the world.

1. He is the perfect mixture of nerdy, sexy and funny.

There is no doubt that Ben Wyatt is a hardcore nerd, and that’s one of the reasons we love him so much. He isn’t afraid to show off how much he loves "Game of Thrones" or "Star Trek," which makes him extremely sexy. He also is very funny, in a cute awkward way, which is just perfect. He doesn’t have to even try to be funny he just is simply by being his perfect self.

2. He is smart and has his life together.

Ben Wyatt is not only extremely cute, but he is very smart. From working at Pawnee City Hall to running a political campaign, he can do pretty much anything. From the second he got to Pawnee Ben Wyatt knew what he needed to do to be great at his job, he has his life together… which makes him very sexy. He also isn’t afraid to show his feelings to people. When he first started to fall for Leslie he confessed it to her, even though he was her boss. He knew he loved Leslie and he went and told her. A man who can confess his true feelings without beating around the bush is a real man.

3. He is kind, caring and willing to do anything to help a friend.

Ben Wyatt will do anything to help out a friend. He truly cares about all of his friends in Pawnee and always is there to help them when they need him. He really showed us how much he cares for his friends when he took April under his wing when they went to Washington together to run a political campaign. He is always looking for the best in people and loves to help people understand what they should do in life. He especially helped Andy tons of times because, well if you have ever seen Parks and Rec you know Andy needs all the help he can get, but he’s still perfect (not to mention a hottie). So basically, Ben Wyatt is ultimately the perfect guy, as well as the perfect friend.

4. He'd rather stay in with you and play board games (especially Cones of Dunshire).

Most guys like to go out, party and get black out drunk, but not Ben Wyatt! I think it is extremely adorable that Ben Wyatt would rather play board games or watch movies instead of going out. Every girl wants to find a guy who will be content and happy staying in instead of going out. Even for Ben’s bachelor party he wanted to stay in and drink beers and play board games…and definitely not go to a strip club because they “make him sad”. Plus, he even invented his own board game “Cones of Dunshire” which is so nerdy, but so damn cute at the same time. I would love to sit at home and play Cones of Dunshire with Ben Wyatt than do anything else; Leslie Knope is one lucky gal.

5. The way he loves Leslie is incredible.

Okay, this is the major reason why Ben Wyatt will forever be the perfect man in my eyes and the eyes of Parks and Rec fans. The way Ben loves Leslie is the way every man should love his girlfriend/wife/partner. Ben and Leslie’s relationship was complicated at first because he was her boss, but he risked it all for his relationship with Leslie because he knew he loved her. He cares so much about her and he will do anything to make her happy, which probably includes giving her lots of waffles. Ben Wyatt is respectful, caring, and compassionate and he is a perfect example of what the perfect man is.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
